Time Management for Leaders

5 Easy to Put Off Leadership Responsibilities

James A. DeSena, CSP

With all the pressures that managers face, it is easy to put off certain responsibilities, especially those that don't have an immediate negative consequence. Yet when these responsibilities are put off, that will produce a more negative consequence in the future. That time may not arrive for several months, but when it does, we have to scramble to compensate for the problem. In this article, I will describe what I call 5 HIGH LEVERAGE EPO'S (EASY TO PUT OFF) LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES. An EPO leadership responsibility is one that must be handled well but is easy to put off for the moment. If you don't put these responsibilities off, but instead, stay ahead of them, you will find you will have fewer big problems with people who work for you.
